Glass Breaking can be down to one or more factors .

To avoid breaking your new piece of glass straight away

Please check your stove closely for the following things and inspect glass delivered for any damage before fitting .

1/ any hairline cracks in stove door or body causing movement as it heats.

2/Overtightening of retaining clips , these should only be lightly pinched up.

3/ worn sealing rope so glass is in contact with metal intead of rope.

4/ front of grate warped so when door is shut grate touches glass.

5/ Hitting obstruction such as log or fuel in front of retaining bars.
